Safer Internet Day 2025 will took place on the 11th of February and all children in Phoenix took part.  In addition to learning the importance of how to use the internet safely, children also took part in activities based around this years theme ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from scams online".

In Foundation, the children discussed what to do if they came across something they were unsure about and learnt the importance of speaking to a grown up. They then created posters to share tips on internet safety.

In Year 1 the children watched a video clip and had a class assembly talking about different ways to keep safe using technology. We read a story and explored all the feelings we can have during different situations when online.

In Year 2 the children explored different scenarios encouraging them to spot to scam and think about what they would do.  They also listened to a story called 'Stop, Close, Tell' to consolidate their understanding.
